- 2/3 Rye Whiskey
- 1/3 Red Vermouth
- A drop of Maraschino
- A drop of Amer Picon
How to make itPlace some ice cubes in the mixing glass and add all the other ingredients. Mix with the bar spoon and pour into the glass. The cocktail is ready. You can serve it as a pre dinner or in other occasions. The Americans use it as a dessert.
Variations and noteIt's difficult to find the real Rye Whiskey, a typical American Whisky; you can substitute it with Canadian Whisky. Recently it was modified; if you add a dash of Ramazzotti, increase the quantity of Maraschino and add 2/3 Ginger Ale bottle, it becomes a tasty long drink (Brooklyn 2nd R.) and you can serve it all day.
