Time: preparation: 30 minutes
1,5 kg (3 1/2 lb) oranges |
|
Spoon measures are American spoons, that is standard cook's measuring spoons used in USA.
The best plan is to regard 2 American teaspoons or tablespoons as 1 English teaspoon or tablespoon (eating spoons)
Wash all the jars and let them dry perfectly.
Remove the skin from all the oranges and cut them into slices. Arrange all the slices into the jars; remember to
sprinkle some tablespoons sugar over every layer. Fill every jar up to 2-3 centimetres from the edge. At this point
pour in alcohol very slowly in order to refill all the empty spaces. Close the jars very well and put them in a
cool and dark place.
You can eat these oranges after 2-3 months.
This recipe is very easy and the oranges are very tasty. You can serve them after a meal or you can use them,
cut into cubes, when you prepare fruit salads.
