Time:
preparation: about 30 minutes plus
4 ripe but firm, medium size tomatoes |
|
Spoon measures are American spoons, that is standard cook's measuring spoons used in USA.
The best plan is to regard 2 American teaspoons or tablespoons as 1 English teaspoon or tablespoon (eating spoons)
Wash accurately your tomatoes, cut them crossways and, using a spoon, scoop out their
seeds and flesh. Sprinkle with salt and turn them out on a dish in order to let them drip very well (for about 30 minutes).
Meanwhile mix the pineapple with walnuts (the quantity of walnuts depends on your taste), season to taste with salt and add
the olive oil; stir very well.
At the end fill the tomatoes with the fruit mixture you've prepared. Chill at least 30 minutes before serving.
