Brandy Cocktail smash

  • 5/6 Brandy
  • 1/6 Mint Liqueur
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Soda Water
  • 3-4 broken ice cubes
  • 6 pennyroyal leaves

How to make it:

Place pennyroyal leaves, sugar, soda water and mint liqueur directly in the glass and press with the smuggler or the bar spoon. Remove pennyroyal filaments and add ice and brandy. Mix and serve.

Variations and note:

There are many "brandy cocktail" round the world. The most famous is this: the smash version. In the U.S.A., "brandy cocktail" is made with one part of Brandy and one part of Dry Vermouth. Place them directly in the cocktail glass with some ice cubes and add a dash of Angostura bitters; squeeze a rind of lemon juice on the surface and decorate with a cherry on a cocktail stick.
