Rosé sangria with oranges and pomegranate Our original home cooking
This sangria is made with rosé wine. I worked on this recipe of mine during Holiday Season when you can easily find pomegranates and oranges. I love this pairing and I find that this sangria with winter fruit and a full-bodied rosé wine is unique, fabulously good! Among other things, it has a very inviting color, hasn't it?
Ingredients / Serves 6
- 1 pomegranade (350g - 12 1/3 ounces)
- 1 organic orange
- 60ml (2 fluid ounces) cognac
- 50g (1 3/4 ounce) granulated sugar
- 1 bottle rosé wine

Recipe for sangria with rosé wine, pomegranade and oranges
- - Prepare the pomegranate.
Remove the outer peel and extract all its seeds.
The operation may be quite long. Act over a plate to recover its juice too, eventually.
- - Prepare the orange.
Wash and pat dry with kitchen paper.
Cut into slices with all its peel.
- - Put sugar and cognac into a large carafe.
Stir very well to melt the sugar.
Now add all the fruit and eventually pomegranade juice too.
- - Stir very well.
- - Pour in the rosé wine too.
- - Stir well and preserve, covered, in the refrigerator for at least 12 hours.
Just before serving
- - Even in this case, my husband and I decided to serve the sangria with all its fruits without filtering.
In fact orange slices are great to eat as long as you use organic products.
- - Remove from the refrigerator at least a quarter of an hour before serving. Okay cool but not cold!
- - You should prepare this sangria the day ahead.
- - Since this rosé sangria is alcoholic, it would be appropriate your guests can have cold tonic water to dilute it, if desired.
- - Choose a full-bodied rosé wine such as those obtained from vine negramaro (Salento - Apulia).
- - This sangria made with rosé wine is perfect for your invitations during Holiday Season. Serve it in a meal, buffet-style or at a seated dinner to pair elaborated fish or meat dishes.
- - We usually serve it accompanied by skewers with baby pineapple and bacon and canapes with rye bread.
- - The doses I suggest are enough for 6 people if there are other drinks.
