Make your own Carnival little masks by your hands!

You will need

- Paper egg tray
- Plaster, ready to use (Stamperia)
- Acrylic colours (Stamperia)
- Voile papers (Stamperia)
- Cotton wool balls (Stamperia)
- Cleaner tools (Stamperia)
- Silver plated wire, Ø 0,6 mm, 10 m (Gütermann)
- Mohair wool in different colours (white and pale brown ...)
- Leftover wool from other works, some beads and little pearls, a bit of lace
- Scissors
- Brushes
- Vinylic glue

These handmade, nice, little masks are suitable for Carnival time.

Note

- Make them for your Carnival table. They can be nice place cards or, all together, a centrepiece. But you can also write on them your menu courses .... nice idea, isn't it? It's enough to write the name on little paper pieces and put them on their hands!
- They are also a nice idea as home decoration for Carnival

This little angel is dressed in red and white and is made with the same technique we used for our Christmas angels.
If you like DIY works you can have other acrylic colours. Use them instead of red and white.
Give to its face the look you prefer.
Use a pen to draw its eyes and mouth.

How nice is this little cat! What about this little mask?
It is made with the same technique we used for the figures of our Christmas crib. Read in this page how to make it. It has a structure made with silver plated wire and so it is very pliant and you can give it the posture you want.
Remember the tail; it's important! It is necessary for its stability too.
Wind the mohair wool around the body beginning from the neck. Remember to cover also the head with the wool as you can see in the photo (help yourself with a bit of glue). Draw a little mask on the face. Cut out little pieces of nylon thread and glue them under a little triangle made with felt: in this way you have the nose and whiskers. Make the ears with little triangles in brown felt.

The mummy. Read the technique in this page. You need only to wind the white mohair wool around the structure made with silver plated wire. You have to cover the head too: glue the cotton wool before winding the wool.
Remember to cut out the wool around the eyes and draw them as you can see in the photo!

how to dress up at Carnival: the geometric man

The geometric man! It is fantastic! Look at this little mask: it is twisted in the dance. It's easy with our technique that makes good use of silver plated wire. Read more on this page! Wind the mohair wool around the silver plated wire, glue some wool on the head for the hair, draw a black mask and the mouth on the face and, finally, glue some geometric figures on it as you can see in the photo.
It is ready!
We suggest you only to test its stability before winding the wool.

The queen is so nice!
Make it with the same technique we used for our Christmas angels.
To make the sceptre: roll up a little piece of voile paper, glue the end and then glue some little beads as you can see in the photo.
To make the hair: roll up a wool thread around one finger of yours repeatedly. Glue at first the end and then on the head. Prepare another smaller wool ring and glue it on the first. The final touch! Glue some little pearls on the hair. If you want you can prepare a little diadem with a little piece of silver plated wire in which you can insert some little beads.

The lady dressed in red and black with the fan. Make it with the same technique we used for our Christmas angels. Make the hair in the same way we've described for the queen above. We decorated its hair with a little piece of black lace.
Make its sleeves with high black lace.
Glue the same lace around the neck.
Make the fan pleating a little piece of voile paper repeatedly.
